<p>Hi ,
I'm going into grade 10 this year, and wanted to know what i should do to get into Princeton. I know that i need to have a high GPA , be top in my class, ace the SAT's take all AP courses, and do alot of EC. but is there anything else that would improve my chances ?</p>
<p>Also , my grade 9 year wasn't the best my average was 80%, but i hope to be getting high nineties for grade 10, 11, and 12. but how badly will my grade 9 affect my chances ? </p>

<p>it will hurt you badly if your school ranks, because then your rank will take a hit. luckily for you, princeton doesn’t count freshman year grades. And yeah, you’ve pretty much got the gist of it… take all hard classes, get good scores, become involved, develop a passion for one specific subject, and hope you get lucky</p>
<p>You understand the basics. You should definitely choose a certain subject/EC to get really involved in. But, don’t forget to stay well rounded. Getting a job or internship someplace that has to do with your interests also looks really good. And, if you get a chance, do something that will make you stand out from others such as getting published.</p>
