FYI: you can't apply ED to two schools

yea i know, i just haven't decided which one of the two yet

holy crap, you have a buttload of people in your grade, lol

Emory (match), Tufts (match), Dickinson (safety), Davidson (match), Santa Clara (safety), Tulane (match/safety), U. Miami (safety), JHU (match/reach but I think you will like it a LOT)

American, USC, Michigan, GW as safeties.

haha yea hamchuck, my counselor's gonna have to write a lot of rec's

thanks for the ideas so far!

If you want to go to/near DC, there is also George Mason, which is in a suburb (Va) but pretty close to the city and they have shuttles there and whatnot. You may know them as the basketball team who inexplicably made the Final Four this past season ;) It would definitely be a safety; it's a public school. I don't think it's worse than American or GW (JMO though, haven't seen any stats). It's certainly more affordable for most people, but with your credentials you could probably get a good merit scholarship to any of the three, so it's just another option, like a preference thing. My sister looked into it and she's going to be majoring in poli sci. They have a great forensics team that is nationally ranked and if you get on it there is all expenses paid travel.

UMD (College Park) is close enough to DC as well, and in a kind of a city like area, but i have no idea about the programs there or anything.

I'm pretty sure you'll get into Georgetown SFS, Chicago, Amherst and Tufts through RD. Good chance at Brown if you apply ED. Not too sure about Stanford.

Do you want to be on a golf team in college?

no not really, i've heard it takes up a lot of time. plus, compared to college golfers, well, most of them could probably kick my booty haha

thanks for all the advice so far! ill look into george mason!

What are you looking for in a college (besides your proposed major)?

if you like brown and amherst, you might like vassar and conn college for matches

Match - Hamilton, Boston College, Skidmore, Washington & Lee, Claremont McKenna (maybe reach)
Safeties - Boston U, Sarah Lawrence, U Michigan (apply early), U of Richmond (maybe match?)
