Anyone want to read (and critique) an unusual college essay?

This is for UChicago. I chose essay option 6 (write your own question) and am hoping to have my question used next year.

So, it's a completely original UChicago style question and answer, and I need some other thoughts.

Caveat: I will only send the essay to you if I see evidence in your posts that you are not applying this year from before I made this thread. I'm sorry, but I don't want to risk getting my question or answer stolen. And if I send it to you, please, please, please don't pass it around.

I’ll love to! I’m applying this year to UChicago too, but I’m already happy with what my essay is about. I’m writing about the untranslatable words, so I don’t have an ulterior motive to scam you out of your question. If you want to be more assured, you can take a look at mine so far.

I can read it if you want but I’m also applying this year, not applying to Uchicago though so your call.

I can read it – you can check out my posting history as jphes (no Y) on Reddit if you want more evidence that I won’t steal your essay.

I will be applying to colleges this year but not to Uchicago. Either way, I’d love to read your essay :)
