<p>Uh I don't know about Columbia's personal word limit, but I've always kept mine to 500 words and the topic is very broad... just to get your personality across, isn't it?</p>

<p>there is no word limit on the essay, but there is a 250 kb(er.. check on that) upload limit (don't worry about that lol you'll never hit it.. my extended essay for IB is barely over 250kb)</p>

<p>my columbia essay was 700 words.</p>
