Hi guys,

I’m really interested in applying to UBC because Canada’s awesome like that (lol) and I was wondering if anyone who is attending UBC is from California. I heard that many Californians come back from out-of-state (or in this case, out-of-the-country) colleges because they could not get used to how bad the climate is compared to their hometown and couldn’t stand it. I see my self as a pretty durable person, but then again, I haven’t gone to so many places (The closest I got to Vancouver was a trip Seattle during spring break a few years ago.) so I don’t really know how bad weather can get if I give it a chance. As far as I know, Vancouver is as rainy as Seattle, and I don’t mind rain that much as long as I have an umbrella and rain boots to keep me dry (Wind AND rain is quite a different story though XD)

So anyway, any Californians out there who managed to survive Vancouver’s climate?
