Hi, I'm senior in high school who's ready for the first year of the college.
Since I was very unsatisfied with my college selection and decisions due to
my low GPA, SAT scores, and little extracurricular activities, I would like to
try once again with trasferring in sophomore year.(I'm gonna apply in my freshman year)

My high school GPA is about 3.6/4.0
SAT score is about mid-1900.

If there's anyone who got accepted by Grinnell, I would like to ask you for sharing ur
stories or your scores, GPA, etc. I just wanna get info about how you did so that
I can get some sense of applying as transfer. I'd like to major psy.

I will really appreciate your help.

Here goes:

I got accepted as an international student from Serbia.

Although GPA in Serbia is different (graded on a 5.0 scale), it was 5/5 (max possible).
My SAT score was ~ 2100, and my SAT IIs were ~ 750.

But, I also think I had good ECs and solid essays.

I think the process is all-around, the admission officers do not look at any individual part of the application, but look at it in a holistic manner…

I wish you good luck!

My GPA is 3.9 (unweighted), and 4.6 (weighted)
SAT superscore was 2230
SAT II scores were 760 (French + listening) and 770 (lit)
Other stuff was being trilingual, doing art, creative writing, NHS, blah blah blah.
I assume that admissions are kind of odd across the board, though. I was a bit baffled by some of my admissions results (as were a lot of people, apparently), so the process is probably very holistic and based on how well you “fit” the school.

Good luck applying next year!

GPA: 3.75 unweighted 4.6 weighted
SAT 1830
SAT II Spanish with Listening 800 Biology 790 US History 730 Chemistry 710
EC: Work 12 hours per week, Key Club Vice President, National Honor Society Treasurer, Student Council Senior Representative, Editor in Chief for school paper, HOSA, GSA.
I’m also a Hispanic male from North Carolina, first generation.
I used the common app and submitted my own biographical essay, which I think was what really got me accepted. Also, I actually spent time on their essay about the new mascot, I think it showed I actually did some research on the school. If you would like, I can let you see them.

Their own site says that they base their decisions 50% on high school performance and its difficulty, 25% on SAT, and 25% on the school’s assessment of each candidate’s potential contributions in the classroom and to the campus.

So as you can see, they base a lot on what you can offer outside academics. I hope it helps! I think it’s awesome that you aren’t giving up. If you have any questions, you can message me.

Good luck!

This is maybe too obvious, but the most important thing in a transfer will probably be your college performance in your first semester. Do your absolute best and use every resource your college offers to help you do so. Whether or not you transfer, this will serve you well. If there is one EC that really attracts you, pursue that in your free time. Best wishes! I’m a parent of a graduating senior.
