Anyone who transferred to UCSD know how strict they are on completing ASSIST

Hey all,
When I first planned on transferring my main focus was on UCLA and Berk. After some time though, the thought of going to UCSD has really grown on me. I'm trying to complete as many of the prereqs that I need for their as possible, but they require calculus for both my majors in consideration ( 1.psych, 2.econ) and It will be impossible for me to do the calculus courses. Besides Calc though I will have most of the prereqs for the majors done. Does anyone know how strict UCSD is on completing assist.org for a psychology major?

Thanks

they’re not very strict…or so i’ve heard.

From what I read on the TAG application page, UCSD is the only school that doesn’t require you to finish ALL your prereqs in order to be TAG certified. Anyone know the reason for this?

I think the case is: the more you have done, the better. If you are applying to an impacted major, obviously its important to have even more completed.

Your best bet is to call their admissions and hear their word.

Psych isn’t impacted, so it’s not very important. They know that most CCs don’t even offer all pre-reqs. Just finish IGETC (if you’re on TAG) and you’ll be fine.

My counselor said you don’t need to complete the ASSIST. So don’t sweat about it.
