rising senior, white female from northern virginia

GPA: about 3.93 UW and 4.02 W, school doesn't rank but i'm definitely top 10%; kinda hard grading scale A = 94-100 = 4.0, B+ = 90-93 = 3.5. honors classes aren't weighted and an A in AP is 4.5.
4 APs so far: World History, Chem, Stat and Spanish. Senior year: Calc BC, Gov, Lit and Environmental Science. All other classes honors.
SAT: CR 710 M 720 W 710 (retaking in Oct)
SAT II: Math II 780 and Chem 770
ACT: 34 composite, 35 E 34 M 33 R 32 S, don't know writing yet and retaking in Sept

I only have one real EC :/ i'm gonna be editor-in-chief of my school's yearbook next year; i was an assistant editor last year and a staffer the year before. Our book is nationally recognized and won some pretty big awards. I've been to a few conventions but never won anything personally.

I had an office job the past three summers filing papers and doing data entry and stuff. This summer i have a job at a sandwich shop and i'll probably work part time there through the school year.

Are my GPA and test scores good enough to make up for my mediocre extracurriculars?

I feel annoying making one of these threads. Thanks to anyone who answers!

I think you're stats are all definitely great. The only thing is, in my experience, most of the kids who get into SC are pretty involved in activities, but i don't know how much that weighs.

Your GPA is great, and if your school sends a school profile along with the assessment that your GC needs to filll out, USC will be aware of your school's grading scale (which would actually show that your GPA is higher if grading was the standard 90=A=4, 80=B=3 etc.), if your Bs turn out to be As. Also, many schools count an A in an AP class as 5 so your weighted would also be higher.

SATs and ACT are great too. ( Don't see the need to retake ACT, at all)
Regarding your principal EC, you don't necessarily need a list of all sorts of activities, as long as you can demonstrate that you have been very involved, preferably for a few years, and have shown some leadership in that activity. Since you will have three years in yearbook, culminating as editor in chief in your last year, this would show commitment and growing leadership. Really make an effort to write a good essay about your involvement in the short essay which asks about your activity.

The fact that you worked each summer, and continue to work part time next year should also be emphasized and will look good in your application.
For the main essay, be sure to write about something that reveals your personality. Great essays do have an important effect.

I think you will be fine. Good luck!
