Anyone willing to rank the following schools to which I have been accepted?

Boston is a great college city.

Boston is a great college city.

Boston is a great college town. Good luck with your decision.

sorry. My computer went crazy and the above posts were accidentally repeated. Both schools are great, but different. Just keep researching them (maybe try using Facebook website) to talk to current students and get their opinions. Good luck and a bright future to you.

Thanks for your advice.
I don't i will go wrong with either.

are you looking to major in business?

yes, finance and accounting, to be more specific.

even though northeastern has a coop program, Fordham's academics, massive opportunities , and of course location trump Northeastern.

i am going to decide by flipping a coin.

I would recommend Fordham for business, but then again you really can't go wrong with Northeastern for business either.

here's the thing, if you're going for finance, NYC is your best bet, because it is the finance capital of the nation. You're chances of getting a very good internship is really high.
Northeaster is also an excellent school. I believe they even allow you to attend for 5 years, so that you can spend an entire year devoted to internships.

You are making it even more difficult for me to choose.
They are both decent schools with lots of pros...!
um... as I said, I dont have an easy choice to make.

can't go wrong with either school...both have great B-schools and they are both in great areas

They're both great schools. Do you want a large school or small school? With Northeastern, you're right in the city of Boston. With Fordham, you have to take the shuttle or train. Northeastern is a bigger school while Fordham tends to have smaller class sizes. Because they both offer great academics and great internships, perhaps you should base your decision on what type of environment you want to be in for the next 4-5 years. Also, to ease your stress of choosing just remember this----you can always apply to transfer to a different school if you find that you're not happy after a year. Just make sure you work hard your freshman year and maintain good grades. My youngest son just received his official acceptance to Fordham today (with Dean's Scholarship of $10,000/yr) but he's going to have to turn it down. The cost is just too high. Not a problem though, he was offered great merit scholarships to other schools so he has plenty of choices.

nysmile, thanks for your advice. Fordham seems more appealling to me for her combination of a classic college campus, and new york city a metro ride away.
Maybe I should just go to the one that costs less. Where will your S probably go?

ojin, I just sent you a PM.

i just replied you :)

id be between Northeastern and Fordham. but frankly, if you are going to do finance: Fordham is your best option because of location.

If you are looking for more of a "typical" college experience, I would attend Fordham.

Bentley is a business school that has gained in reputation here. It is in the suburbs just outside of Boston and I know that the students go into Boston via a bus provided by the school during the week and on weekends - but, a suburban school.

Northeastern is a very large school but one where you will almost certainly find many international students and, I believe, other students from Africa - is that important to you? Northeastern is very, very urban - what kind of campus are you interested in? The T (train/bus) runs along Northeastern so you have access to transportation around the city at your doorstep and many things are within walking distances (restaurants, shops, cultural events). Because Boston is filled with students you can often find discounted cultural events, inexpensive (and expensive!) restauarnts, that might enrich your experience. I can't speak to quality of the business school, however.

I think you should call or email your admissions officers and see if they can put you in touch with some international students for more qualitative information about the schools - this is too hard to pick from a book! It doesn't matter how great the business school is if you are miserable at the school IMNSHO.

I totally agree with the poster re: U of Richmond even though the weather is great in VA compared to NYC and Boston.
