Anyone with a D in their transcript get into the UC of thier choice?

I know it's a weird question. But I really wanna know if a D really messes up your chances, even if you retook a class for a better grade.

got into UCI and UCSB
F(calc2), D(calc2), D(honors calc 1+2)
econ major.

didn’t apply to UCLA, UCB, UCSD, or UCD.

Yes had a D retook it and got a A its fine as long as you promise yourself to do better. Also accepted: cal and ucla

finally…some hope!

yea…hope is not lost…i went to ucla and had a 1.99 gpa there…my first choice was haas at berkeley and i was accepted

I had an F (Calc, should have gone to class…), retook the class and got a B, accepted to UCLA and Berkeley. I am coming from a CC as opposed to a UC transfer, so I don’t know if that plays into it but I doubt it would.

retook a D for a B, also got an F and replaced with an A.
3 C’s 1 W.

still accepted to my first choice, UCLA. had A’s at the end… i explained them in my essays. don’t lose hope and keep working hard.

Retook a D for a B in intermediate algebra. Also had two W’s on my transcript. Accepted to UCI, UCLA, and UC Berkeley.
