Anyone worried about not completing pre-reqs by Fall2012?

Hi everyone. I don't post on here much, but I was wondering if anyone here is in the same boat as me. The course booklet for Winter 2012 just came out today and it doesn't have the classes that I need(due to budget cuts).

My initial plan was to take those 2 final courses this Winter, than go to Glendale Community college in Spring 2012 to finish that last Anthro class for UCLA. GCC is the only college around here that offers that course.

Any suggestions or advice? Or has anyone had to deal with going to multiple community colleges in order to finish all pre-reqs? Are you considered low priority when at a new college, thus getting last priority for class? Or can you have your transcripts sent to the new college and some how become first priority? Would the UC's give me a break if I get screwed in the end? Sorry for all the questions.

I'm applying as an anthropology major just in case anyone has information on whether its impacted at UC.

Thanks! =]

Yeah, it is hard right now. I wanted to take a winter class at my CC but all classes now cost a fortune (international student rate). But I already finished nearly everything. I have Film 1 (GE), stats, bio psych for spring.

I go to GCC! Woot woot!

I actually have a prereq that they are not offering for spring at GCC so I should be taking the class at ELAC in the spring. But that would make me not be a full time student at GCC, so I’m planning to take some other class so I could be a full time and get more financial aid! Haha!

Usually when you apply to another college, you are at the bottom of the barrel. Theres no such thing as sending your transcripts to move you up on the waiting list. So good luck with that.

Which anthro class are you planning to take at gcc? I took 101 and am taking 102 this fall. Might take another anthro in spring too! :P
