anyone here have second thoughts about JHU ED?

at first, i was excited about it...but then i'm having doubts..IF i even GET IN, i'm afraid that i might regret not having applied to ivies to see if i had a decent chance somewhere....

ED wasn't designed for people like you I suppose.

Hell no! I want nothing other than JHU ED. Of course, it would be nice to see where else I could have been accepted...but I'd choose JH over all of them.

This is something you probably should have thought about before applying ED to a school. Personally, I've never had doubts about my choices simply because I've stopped thinking about it. After sending in my ED app to Hopkins, I've been pretty laid back, and now I'm just awaiting the decisions just like everyone else.

actually, jhu IS my first choice...i don't know why im having second thoughts. i like it because of its strong sciences, strong academics PERIOD, wealth of research opportunities, wonderful music stuff (peabody concertS!), and of course, how pretty it is, and all that jazz......

i must just be having a weird spell...

The only thing you can do now is wait until the 15th when your decision of what to do will be made for you. Just don't worry about it and put those thoughts in the back of your mind.

I guess all of us have thought about it at one point or another, but you should just wait until the 15th.

Personally, I would much rather be at JHU than any other Ivy, simply because it's so unique. It's more personal, the classes are smaller (in general), it has an phenomenal lacrosse team, the city's awesome, people are very friendly (from my experience), the campus is gorgeous yet very manageable, and so on.

i <3 jhu intensely.
no doubts, except in my own ability to get in.

^same approach.

The ivys are too....ivyish for me.

Seems like hopkins cares a lot more about the personalities of their students so it isn't just a bunch of brains walking around campus (like the ivys).

i had similar considerations before i applied ED...i was not sure about ED for the longest time. however, after going to all their open house, making pro-con list, it reminded me just what about jhu that i liked so much. so now i can't wait to go there (if i can get in) and be part of blue jay!

i definitely top JHU over ivys. i was never a fan of ivy to began with.
