anyone?

has anybody heard anything? i applied for merit scholarships and i haven't heard anything yet.

actually, does anyone even look at this board?

I haven't heard anything yet either.

I think most people don't realize there's a Sewanee board because it's under 'T'

I got my acceptance letter today. I also got a merit award for $8000, president's award. It's weird because the application said that we would recieve admission status and a notification about sending another essay for a merit-based award. It seems weird that I already have my award. Maybe they only notify ppl that will get like "full-ride" scholarships to send another essay. not sure. but anyway, it was great to get in but i still have a LOT of $$$$ to make up for. anyone have an idea of the average financial aid award for sewanee. its had for me because I can only afford to spend like $5000 a year on school and i dont want a ton of loans after school because I'll prob. be going to law school after that. Hope u guys get your letters soon. where are u guys from by the way? I'm from Ft.Smith, Arkansas

i got my letter today along with the president's award for $8000, as well. i was confused about the other essay, as well. i'm in the same situation as you; i'm planning to go to law school afterwards and don't need loans.

i'm from west texas..nobody's heard of sewanee out here, haha.

My D got a letter 1-29 offering admission and inviting her to campus in two weeks for interviews.

ramsfan, the statistics are that Sewanee meets 94-97% of "demonstrated need". Run the EFC calculator and find out what your need is and make sure to get the FAFSA and their supplements in by 1 March and see what happens.
