was your essay straightforward…as in “I want to transfer because I want a better English program…”

Obviously not that simple, but was it relatively straight forward?

Yep, I literally just explained why Lehigh’s not a good fit and why I would thrive more at a school that focuses more on the liberal arts

@david
Did you apply to any other schools? My transfer essay couldn’t be too college specific because I applied to 2 other schools.

No, I didn’t, but my essay wasn’t specific to Wash U. When I wrote it I thought that I would be applying to Cornell, Northwestern, and University of Chicago, too, but I didn’t send those applications in because I had no money.

Ok that’s a little reassuring. Thank you and congrats once again :)

Congrats to everyone who got accepted:) I’m pretty bummed. I got rejected. I applied to their business school. I had a 2070 sat and 2150 (super score for 2 sittings) and pretty average 4.25 high school gpa. I’m definitely hoping the rest work out better.

Congrats everyone! How long after receiving your decision do you have to commit? Is there a set time period or a specific date for all transfers?
