Anything similar to the UC's Blue and Gold Scholarship?

Hey everyone,

I am a transfer student planning on transferring to a UC this coming fall. I am eligible for the Blue and Gold Scholarship which completely pays for/covers additional cost not covered by other financial aid/grants.

My question is this: is there any other scholarships for non-UC schools that would cover my entire tuition? I'm asking this because I'm pretty sure I'll be going to a top UC but I don't want to only stick to a UC if I have the opportunity to go somewhere else.

Here is a link to the UC's program: University of California - Blue + Gold Opportunity Plan

Thanks!!

You realize that B&G pays about $10K and that’s it…there are about $1K of fees they don’t cover as well as it doesn’t cover housing, food, or books. And if you get other scholarships, it can be reduced.

The plan combines all sources of scholarship and grant awards you receive (federal, state, UC and private) to count toward covering your fees. If, for example, you receive Pell and Cal Grants and private scholarships that don’t fully cover your fees, UC grant money will make up the difference.

Thank you for the info.

However my question still remains unanswered.

Is there anything similar to the Blue and Gold at the UC’s at other schools Stanford, USC, etc?

I’m 26, independent, and make zero money. I want to go to a good school but don’t want to be confined to a UC based solely on the notion that I won’t have to pay for anything at a UC.

Stanford does not offer merit aid, only need based aid and they meet full need. USC has merit aid for top students. Do you think you have a chance at Stanford which has a 2% transfer admission rate?
