Assuming that I have the "standard" stats, not bad, but not amazing, what would be something "unique" that the adcomms see and go "wow, this kid is so much different from others and i'll actually remember this kid!" Btw, to all posters, plz don't say "well, you can't really become unique, b/c if you aren't in the first place, you can't force yourself to do something just for the sake of college admission." THe reason is that, if you set your mind to do something, you'll end up enjoying it anyway, plus it helps you for colleges.

What can set you apart? Easy, Intel Finalist, All-American Sport, Nationally Renown Musician, etc etc or the converse, disadvantaged student who has done superb in academics and good in ECs.

someone like you needs to play the "well rounded card." what are your ECs, do you have a job, what are your hobbies, etc.?
