I just became very interested in Syracuse, yet I didn't apply! I know that decisions already went out but is there anyway I can still apply? Ah, help!!

According to SU’s website, they do accept applications past the Jan. 1 deadline on a space available basis. I suggest you contact the school’s Admission Office immediately to see if they will accept an application now.

Your other options are to attend another school next year and apply for a transfer to SU as a sophomore, or take a gap year and then apply to SU next year for the freshman class of 2010-11.

your ‘other options’ worried_mom mentioned are your ONLY option. Syracuse is not going to accept an application now. Its way too late in the year.

If you want I can sell you my spot ? How much are you willing to give up
lol

The website says:

"Thank you to our applicants for fall 2009! Your sincere interest is appreciated. We encourage you to be patient as we work diligently to process the thousands of application support documents received recently. This process may take several weeks.

We will continue to accept applications for fall 2009 on a space available basis."

It doesn’t hurt to try… you haven’t got anything to lose.

…except like 60 bucks? But yeah, if your GPA/SAT is good, there’s probably a good chance that you would at least be put on the waitlist.

i thought people could still apply but for spring symester(january) admissions…I don’t know much about that. Its on the website . could someone please explain it because my cousin is an international student who wants to apply there now

You definitely can apply for Spring 2010. There’s usually a check box of some kind on the application form where you specifiy the semester you are applying for.

As far as what’s quoted by Bruins, I didn’t notice anything along those lines mentioned when you go to the ‘perspective students’ section on their website. This has been a crazy year for college applications so who knows.

I’m sure you can call or emial admissions and just ask them.

What’s quoted by Bruins is on the website, I just checked, except I don’t remember where it was on the site…but it is indeed there…

It’s at the left hand bottom of the admissions home page…just checked again :)
