Anyway to get a self-study AP course on a college application (to show(

I am taking off AP physics off my course list next year to better balance my time to self-study AP chemistry. I was wondering if there was anyway to show on a college application/high school transcript that I am self-studying this?

I doubt it. Maybe. But check this thread out: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/369861-self-studying-aps-improving-your-app.html</a> The OP (Original Poster) of that thread self studied a lot of APs so he let MIT know about these courses somehow.

um, i thought they automatically get your scores?

I’m self studying senior year

If I remember correctly there was a thread about things like this in the MIT forum. MITChris, an MIT admissions rep, said that there was a section on the application that says “Anything you want to tell us” or something of the sort. You can put this there. I don’t remember the specifics on the context, I’ll have to go back and find it now, but I think you can find ways to self study.

@bobtheboy I think only some schools put your scores on your transcript. Some kids said that colleges can see it through this. But I asked AP coordinator at my school and she says it doesn’t go on your transcript. And then she says that’s the reason why you should never cancel your scores.
