I'm an international student and I'm not really excited about the idea of taking a 12hour plane home just to come back a few weeks later.
So does anyone know if there is accommodation on campus during winter break?

Almost 5 weeks for winter break.

i think for international students there is.

if you live in HILC you can stay in the same dorm you live in (i think)

if not you can notify cornell housing and they will allow you to stay in one of HILC’s lounges (not sure if they put beds or use sleeping bags)

At least half of all Cornell students live off-campus, and most of the undergraduates leave for Winter Break. You may be able to find a short-term sublet in an off-campus apartment for the Winter Break period. You can check ads in the Cornell Sun or the Ithaca Journal or online at Craigslist. Or you can place an ad of your own.

There are dorms you can stay in. My friend from Texas did it this past winter. If that doesn’t work out, there are plenty of people willing to sublet in Ithaca.

lol 12 hours… it takes about 16 hours for me to go home : (
