<p>Does anyone have any experience with these books?
I got a 127.5 on the AMC 12 but I literally bombed the AIME.
I'm a sophomore right now and I'm hoping to make USAMO in my junior year.
I heard these books are pretty awesome when it comes to preparing for competition math but I wanna hear some of your past experiences. How much did your scores improve? Does it help a lot?

<p>I was in a similar situation: I got a 4 on the AIME my sophomore year, studied a ton junior year, and then made the USAMO my junior and senior years. AoPS Volume II is a very helpful book: it’ll give you a great foundation for math competitions. The AoPS classes are also great, but really just solving lots and lots of problems is all that counts.
