AP Advice

I am a sophomore in highschool this year, intersted in pursuing AP classes. I love general chemistry at my school (honors is not available). I got a 97 for the semester and I am really considering AP Chem. However, I do have reasonable trouble in math. I'm in algebra 2, with a B- for the semester. And I had to work for that. My main problem is that it just takes me longer to understand the more difficult concepts. I heard the math involved in AP Chemistry isn't significant, is this true? And what is AP Stats like? My friends tell me it's a different kind of math than algebra (though they didn't elab on that), which got me interested. Algebra is not my friend. If someone could please elaborate on the weaknesses I may face pursuing these classes, I would appreciate it!! Is AP Chemistry and AP Statistics right for me?
