My son got full credit for his 4 APs. He got three 5s and one 4 (for French). This was 6 years ago, so I’m not sure things are still the same. He could have skipped a full semester, but he just went one course light in his senior year. It would have been a huge help if he’d had any illnesses or other reasons to take a lighter course load. As it was, there were so many classes he wanted to take and he wanted to graduate with his class.

Yes they give credit and if you search the website it’s pretty clearly listed. Whether or not it matters much though depends. My D got 24 hours of AP credit but it likely won’t matter much because her major and interests (premed) will require that she attend 8 semesters anyway (to get all the required premed courses in). It did help her place out of calculus though and AP psych waived the prereq so she could start with a 200 level course, so that’s one benefit. However AP bio didn’t place her out of the required beginning bio class. So for her, they’re extra hours and she could take a lighter load one semester if she wanted but even that will likely be hard. Plus to be on the dean’s list you need to take 16 hours though so that’s another thing to consider…

Thanks. Yes, once I searched it it was easy to find. It is the same on most other sites under the Registrar. They e-mailed me back and confirmed the 24 hour cap.
