AP and IB

As one example, the University of Chicago's policy on IB tests is that a 7 is comparable to an AP 5, a 6 is an AP 4 and a 5 is an AP 3. Whereas for APs, all tests but Environmental Science, Psychology and Computer Science A count for credit or placement, all IB tests in physics, computer science, and mathematics count for nothing.

Essentially, within America, some colleges will like an IB diploma more than a courseload packed with AP classes, but most irrationally count it for less than APs.

Oh, and that's only for Higher Level, not Standard.
