AP and SAT TEsts?!

Is the number of AP Exams one takes important? In other words, if you do not take an AP Exam, whether or not the school offers the AP class, and self-study that course to take the AP Exam, is it worth it? How hard would it be? Specifically subjects such as Statistics, Biology, and World History?

Also how many SAT II Tests do you have to take? I heard two somewhere but is it better if you take more than that? Also should I wait to take AP chem before taking SAT II Chem?

I heard that if you take a class at a community college, you do not have to take AP Exam of that particular subject because you already have the college credit. Is it true? Do AP Exams only matter for the sake of earning college credits (and possibly AP Scholars)???

Thank you!

well, the more AP exams you take, it does look good, but you have to get a good score on them, of course. quality is always better than quantity, so if you think that you can
t handle a subject, then don
t try it. you can self-study, but it is quite hard. usually you need 4-5 months of preparation before the AP examinations.

as for the SAT IIs, the class of 06 only needs to take two instead of three, but i think the ivy league schools still want three (make sure you check because i
m not an 06er). and yes, you can take more than that. it is better to wait for AP chem before the SAT II chemistry subject test, because then you
ve learned the stuff and know it by heart more.

as for the community college thing, i
m not sure because i
ve never taken anything like that. good luck on finding someone with the answer on that though. =]
