i've decided to take an extra ap class next year thats available online. for those of you who've taken either, what are your opinions on each class? level of difficulty? how were the exams?

PLEASE take art history
i've never been the artsy type (in fact, sci and math are my best subjects)
but taking that class made me WORLDLY, appreciative of art, and just overall so much more developed as a person.
European history is nice, I assume, but who doesn't already know about Europeans. We are so biased towards anglos, all throughout ur elem and middle school years all we learn about is European stuf.

the two are somewhat similar. I think you should have euro before art. The art history exam requires that you have extensive knowledge of the time period, and taking a euro history class will improve your historical knowledge.

btw, euro history isn't just anglo-saxon history. It is all of europe, east, west, christian and islamic influence, and is extremely significant in changing the thought process of the entire planet.

I took European history my sophomore year and I loved it. Our teacher was horrible, but that didn't stop me from reading and learning. And with Euro, you'll get a taste of art history also. In fact, in previous years, some of the essay questions give you two pieces of art, and you have to use them to analyze the time period in question, or something like that.

I self studied both of these this year, so I can't tell you about the class, but it seemed like the AP Euro test was easier. Except the document free response thing, which was confusing. I think art history is really, really interesting once you get to maybe Realism and onwards, though.

"but who doesn't already know about Europeans."

trust me. you will realize how little you know once you take the class.

I haven't taken art history, but let me tell you that euro was probably my most interesting class content-wise.
