@LAMPEROUGE I did Las Meninas too!
I didnt think the Goya MC set was too difficult, although it wouldve been better if they put Saturn devouring his son or some other Black Painting

Lambda: or the 3rd of may one (or whatever it’s called)

Any of you guys think that the sleep of reason produces monsters? wink wink

Wow it’s surprising that alot of people used Seated Couple as an example, I would have never thought of that. I used Warhol’s Mariyln diptych and a totemn pole from the Nootka tribe as my artworks for the first essay, and Cassatt’s the Bath (I think a lot of people used this) and van Eyck’s Arnolfini Marriage for the second essay.

I was thinking about the Arnolfini Marriage! or Akanaten and Nefirtiti with their kids. But I talked about (in the beginning of my essay) how it was seperate from religion and those have religious symbols and such in it…,

how would you guys define “domestic”?

i thought the multiple choice was either really really easy and i knew it forsure i had no idea and was completely guessing. My first long essay i think was alright but my second long essay for my first example i couldnt identify it at all, but my second choice i thought of at the last minute and was able to fully ID it and explain it. I think the short essays really saved me, i thought they were so easy and i was really familiar with all the works!

Arnolfini Marriage was the only pre 1700 artwork that really come to mind when I read the question. I did however for a slight second think of a roman wall painting with a couple in it, but I couldn’t fully ID it so I went with my original artwork which was van Eyck.

Well you could interpret ‘domestic’ a few different ways, but in my essay i mainly focused as it being in more of a familial sense.

im sooo devasted… i totally interpret it wrong so now i dont even know if i passed. I’m so screwed with my two 30 min essays!

I think because the short essays and m/c were fairly easy… they purposely made the BIG ESSAYS SUPEr HARD! UGHhhh

I’m so worried… It’s not even funny anymore

I think the essays were hard at first. After talking with my teacher, though, I feel confident about my choices. I felt the objective was a little difficult, but eh.

Also, if too many people screwed up on the essays, they’ll just change the rubric. They’re very forgiving

Well it seems like a lot of people get the idea of the topics… Except for a few, so I’d doubt they’ll change the rubric. Like if I would’ve understand and and was not so misleading about the topics… I could’ve easily picked my two choices BUT I didn’t. So I’m scared as hell… My teacher expects me to pass -____-

what did you pick for the second question? And your teacher can stuff it! You should take the test because YOU want to. If you pass, great. If you don’t, I’m sorry. Do you normally have trouble reading APAH essay questions?

I like 314’s choice of Red Room and Arnolfini Wedding. Thought of Red Room after test.

I didn’t think of modern. I tried…but…no.

No… I’m actually pretty decent but what throws me off was that they were asking for the “medium” and how it accommodates culture influence & what not!!! & someone just made me realized it.

I picked pantheon & travelers among the mts for my 1st essay. I talked about its decorative/form/images rather than the MEDIUM! Ughhhh! I’m soo mad… Idk even know anymore

The second essay… I tried but couldn’t think of anything! So I only BSed about modern homes and how simplicity is what they’re trying to convey…

You didn’t even mention concrete? But…it’s important contextually…and what about the second?
