AP Art History Post Test Discussion

^ That gives me some hope, haha. I’ll make sure to let you guys know as soon as I get my scores (I refuse to call this time, simply because I have patience this time haha).

Got a 4 (teacher called me to give me the result :D) and was super shocked. Didn’t do so hot on the FRQ’s (100% I got a 0 on two of them, the one I /thought/ was “Monet” and the San Carlito one) so completely satisfied.

@belibone

What did u write for ur FRQ? I think I got a 1 on those two essays too D:

@Smarty1201: For Turner’s Trains, I thought it was Monet. For San Carlito, I put Renaissance (so off… pulled a random time period from thin air) and how it was a combination of many different styles. In addition to that, it used marble statues that were detailed in the front. We didn’t even get to the Baroque period, so I wasn’t that surprised that I missed it.

For my 2 essays, I wrote about the Etruscans and Marriage a la Mode for the domestic space. I used the Statue of Khafre and the Queen Mother belt mask for the materials one. ;O Overall, APAH test was heck for me, but I’m glad it’s over.

Some things I was seriously worried about: Statue of Khafre… throughout the whole essay, I was like… what was the material called? You know what, I’ll just say granite oh my god I don’t have time for this. And when using Marriage a la Mode, I didn’t refer to one single painting. Well, I did. I said it was a series of paintings, but I described one distinct one (the breakfast scene) but wasn’t able to identify it. >___<

I got a 4 on it. definitely didn’t study like I should have for it. Besides my class only covered from Renaissance on; oh well haha.

I got a 5 but i was pretty confident that i did well after the test. During the test i felt like i was totally blanking though, for one of the two long essays i did seated khafre becauae of the dioritie and the coalvrooke bridge because of iron. The other one i did akhenaton and nefferiti with their children and FLW house (which i was very worried about after). But i did completely guess and got turner and the baroque period for the two difficult short essays. Im so happy i got a 5!!! :slight_smile: :)

I got a 5… totally unexpected. My class didn’t fully cover anything after Baroque art and we just skimmed the rest… and I learned most of the material extremely late for the test. I thought I did fairly well on the essays but thought I bombed the MC because it was so heavily focused on newer art…

I got a 4, I’m disappointed in myself because I know I was capable of getting a five. I was frustrated with the free responses because I felt like they didn’t allow us to fully show our knowledge of art.

But oh well, at least it’s not a 3 :P
