AP Art History?

Is AP Art History a better/funner class to take opposed to AP European Civilizations? I was pretty good at 8th grade Civil War History, got an easy 'A', but Art History is something I've never experienced and I really would like to. Has anyone taken these classes that would mind sharing some memorable experiences?

Edited . I don't think I was right.

I take Art History, and I'll tell you, it is something different. You'll be exposed to a lot of information you won't learn in many other classes. It's funny how it creeps into your everyday life too. Now I can't help but notice things I've learned in class in the everyday world.

It doesn't hurt that the class itself isn't terribly difficult. I mean, sure, basically all of our tests are practice APs, and sure, the exam is going to be rough (two thirty minute essays, about 6-7 5 and 10 minute essays, plust a bunch of multiple choice sections), but I love the class.

I got an 89 for the first two quarters cramming the reading (usually 60-80 page chapters) the night before the test and taking notes, and an 86 the third quarter not reading, not taking notes, but just listening and looking at the pictures in the books. It's different, but I like it.

AP Art History is HARD to the bones

AP Art History contains lots of material to cover...I would actually think Art History hould be added wih World, US, and European History. It is a cool class, but it is a lot of work.

I got a 3 on the test just listening in class and taking notes, not reading the textbooks at all.

So yeah... as long as your teacher shows lots of slides and lectures a lot, you should be good for passing the test, I thought it was a very fun class.

AP art history isn't offered at my school, but it is a HARD course. lots of memorizations and connections and outside info. but, i must say, it has changed my life. i plan on majoring in it in HS.

My teacher has a PhD and discovered that the Paris Opera was fortified by iron (she's a little past middle aged). She's also the world's leading historian on Napoleon III.

Needless to say, AP Art History is one of the best classes I've ever taken (it's just an inch behind from the BEST, which was AP World History).

AP Art History is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken, because I just learn that kind of stuff faster than say about... AP Euro, which I also took.

We don't do anything in our class except listen to lectures in the dark with the slide projector.

It's amazing, amazing, amazing. You learn SO much and unlike, say, APUSH, it follows you everywhere. And it makes you very erudite, too.

Thanks for all the input, guys. ^^ You've really made this decision easier for me.
