I found out today that I recieved one of those AP awards.

I did not write it on my application for Harvard-- should I send them another (actually, this one would be my second) update?

I don't think so, if you applied EA...they've already made the decision for most applicants, and might be bugged by such awards. Besides, if you listed your AP scores, they should be able to figure it out from them.
I suggest sending it if you are deferred.

Yeah, if you send an update to them now (for EA), you'll probably get your decision before they can even process your letter.

I'm not much of one for the gossip on this forum - if we get in we get in, if not that's life - but I can give you good advice on this one:

Call them.

If you have a question like this, call and ask. I had the same query and I spoke to someone yesterday who said to go ahead and send it. He said the "full committee" is meeting this week though, so fax is the best option. His words were along the lines of, "It can't hurt."

AP scholar is a good thing, albeit a fairly common one. Letting them know about one more positive development only further exemplifies your desire to be accepted and it's not going to annoy them - they're used to it!

I still haven't recieved mine in the mail. But I knew I was qualified, so I put "AP Scholar with Distinction (expected)" in my app (not sure if that was the exact wording). It'll make me feel better when it comes! :-P.
