AP awards

when do they give you your AP award??

around september or october, usually

I thought it came in the mail with the scores. Maybe I’m remembering wrong…

mine came in the mail mid september.

what is it? just a letter? do you get a cool medal or anything??

you get like a certificate or something… it’s nothing spectacular tho.

yeah it’s just a certificate. it really has no weight in college admissions.

^actually I think National AP Scholar is pretty prestigious, espcially as a rising senior.

^Yeah, I agree.

Is canceling a couple of scores to where you would be eligible for a higher award possible? That seems like a major loophole that’s too good to be true.

Like is it still possible to cancel the scores after you get the mail reports?

No, is it possible to cancel scores so you qualify for a “higher level” AP award?

I got National AP Scholar. I can cancel my worst score (a 2 :S) and still qualify

there are plenty of other things that are far more impressive. it’s not all that prestigious.

I wonder why the Canadian national ap scholar is easier to get than the American one

Fewer people take (lesser quantities of) AP classes/tests in Canada.

I am Canadian and the only AP course offered at my school was English Lang.

So, let me get this straight…

I can cancel any scores that bring my average down and get a high level award?
