I was just wondering if these two courses were worth it if I was going to go into Engineering (not sure which subset yet)

no, better you take AP Spanish and AP art instead ;).

On a more serious note, not only do you want to show colleges that you have taken courses in science, but you want to find out if you enjoy this stuff. Especially if you’re not sure which subset yet. And you might be able to pass out of some of those huge intro classes, depending on the school.

Ah, cuz the thing is, my school is offering prospective engineers the course: Robotics/Engineering. I can either take that or AP Chem, so I’m not sure which would be better; they both seem really fun

Introductory college chem classes tend to suck, especially with all the premed students taking them and setting the curve high, so I’d take the opportunity to skip introductory chem with AP.

What about Bio? Should I self-study that to get it out of the way as well?

Unfortunately, in order to test out of lab science classes, most colleges require that you do lab work in the subject as well. Especially for biology, I don’t see how you could do that with a self-study. But introductory biology isn’t nearly as bad, so it should be fine.

i wouldnt recommend anyone to self study an AP science. but i would take both if you are planning on engineering. you will definitely need ap chem so if you have to pick 1, pick ap chem
