AP Bio and SAT II Bio(M)

I'm a senior this year and will be starting school in not much more than a week. I'll be taking AP Bio this year.

My question is, will I have covered quite a bit by the end of November (obviously all schools are not the same, but I need a rough idea)? Enough so that I don't have to self study all that much for the Bio SAT II? I've pretty much forgotten 99% of freshmen honors bio, so I'm counting on AP.

Also, I pretty much need an 800 if I'm going to take it (if I take it, it will be in December).

I haven’t taken AP Bio, but my guess is no. The Biology exam covers a full year of a biology course; although you will learn many things in AP Bio into great detail, the class will likely not cover even half of the topics you need to know for the exam before December. You should self-study to make sure you cover everything.

I know I’ll have to self study. I’m wondering how much though. Will major topics for the Bio (M) SAT II probably be covered to some extent?

Since I’m taking SAT II Chem before Bio and getting 750+ on practice tests right now (and taking AP Chem this year) I’ll probably be good with biochem. Also, I know evolution decently. I know DNA/RNA transcription/translation decently and cells as well.

The main things I’ve forgotten are plants and animals (structure and function, organismal biology), spermatogenesis, oogenesis, mitosis, meiosis.

Most likely, you will not have enough information by the first few months. I took it two years ago and got a 750. I took it in May after I took the AP Bio test. I got a perfect score on AP Bio.
