Hey-For those of you taking a year of AP Bio using Campbell's 7th ed-How many chapter have you gotten through? Is your class planning on getting through the entire book?

cellular respiration

my class is on chapter 3...my teacher is blah....very blah

i'm on chapter 7 though.

We're doing Photosynthesis...Chapter 10 I believe.

And yes we plan on going through the entire book.

We're on Chapter 12 (Mitosis/Meiosis crap). We did all of Ecology over the summer though so we're farther than most classes.

We're on Chapter 15 (Chromosome theory of inheritance). Dunno if we're planning to finish the whole book. The teacher is too scary to ask... ):

Cellular Respiration, what is that? Ch. 9?

About to finish the a unit of chapters 17-21.

Cellular respiration/photosynthesis test this morning. I live in southern Texas, so we lost 8 schools days b/c of Hurricane Ike.

chapter 12

Chapter 42.

.. Nah. i took AP bio last year. by this time last year, we were finished with photosynthesis. I ended up getting a 5 on the AP test and an 800 on the SAT II Bio M test. So if you think you're behind, youre probably not.

chap 14..my teacher goes realllllly fast

Just finished 10

ch. 11, "cell communication"

Took AP bio last year. Good book, but my teacher expected us to know everything in the book. It's way more in depth than the AP, so we ran out of time to cover all the AP topics :(. Still got a 5 though :)

Chapter 10, but we've done 1-9,11, 50, 52, 53, 54.

chap 14 mendel/genetics.. or is that 13

Chapter 17.
We had to do chapters 1-7 over the summer, and each unit is 4-5 chapters, so it's pretty slow yet intense at the same time.

I asked my son. They've been skipping around so it's hard to tell, but it looked like about a dozen chapters, plus they did human bio over the summer.

We're on Ch. 16, "The Molecular Basis of Inheritance".

Bless you all other bio students, because SERIOUSLY there is nothing in this world that could save my class and I from doing higher than mediocre on the exam (other than the Chem teacher [with a major in biochemistry] to take over).

It seems like we're going fast, and we probably are, but when she gives us notes, compared to the book, she's giving us bare bones o_O she tests us on the bare minimum. Do I have reason to worry? I'm feeling that somewhere along the line, we're gonna practice for free-response questions and we're seriously going to have some potential material lost in our minds.
