So due to the new format of the Ap exam my teacher basically took as a sign to not teach us anything. He's like this is gonna be on the test but I'm not going to teach this. And there'll be like 4 tests the entire semester. I'm really worried. Can anybody teach me how to study for the new ap bio format?

I took the AP Bio exam last year so I can offer a little advice haha. The first thing is to read the AP Bio curriculum framework and focus on their themes. This provides the guideline for further study. For example, one of the themes is evolution so when you’'re learning anything for bio connect it back to evolution. ASk why something evolved and how. Watch crash course biology and Bozeman biology on YouTube. The test is more like the ACT science section now–you get all the info then you interpret it. That’s probably why your teacher isn’t ‘teaching’ because honestly the test isn’t on specific molecules and hard to remember charts haha. You have to know basic information but not little details. Have examples for each theme. Specific areas to study are cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cell communication, evolution, metabolism and homeostasis, ecology (populations/systems), And all the labs. Basicly know a little of everything, and these topics in depth. The test doesn’t have a such on animals and stuff like that some don’t worry. Also body systems wasn’t really there but know the basics and why in terms of evolution and how for homeostasis/info. Oh and chi squares. Don’t worry the exam changes helped the people who have less rigorous teachers. I got a 4 my class was So chill. Know the basics and the labs you will pass. Good luck!
