i just took a practice test from 5 steps to a 5 that my teacher gave us…it was out of 120 questions…i got 22 wrong, 12 blank, and 86 right…would that put in the 5 range?

You have to subtract one-fourth of a point for every wrong answer. It looks like you made an 80.5 out of 120. I think it’s on the border between 4/5, but closer to a 4.

Yankeedoodle, do you remember anything about plant reproduction being on the test?

^ airchibundo, this is just mc though, the score is multiplied by like .756 or some other weird decimal…it also said to multiply essay score by 1.2, i was just wondering how the new AP Bio test is scaled since this is out of 120 while it’s now out of 100

80.5/120 probably a 5.

How important is protein synthesis? That’s the only topic I didn’t cover.

I would say protein synthesis should be studied. I’m making sure I know the basics of initiation, elongation, and termination and the basic function of tRNA and rRNA. If you have access to the Campbell website the animations in the activities section for protein synthesis were really helpful for my test in class a while back.

Man, how important is it to know all of those Kingdoms…cause I’m having a hard time Kingdoms Fungi and Plantae…

Evidently, fungi have almost no role on the exam (if any), but plants constitute 12% of the multiple choice and at least one essay, and if you don’t know them, then you will not be in a good position to get a 5.

i was told that if you get a good score on frqs, doing just 60% of mc’s can still get you a 5

The MC is 100 questions, not 120, they changed it.

The multiplier is .9, the FR is multiplied by 1.5.

I’ve heard you need like a 86/150 for a 5.

I’m so scared for the essay part. I have no idea how I’m going to be able to write about all these different things.

How important are the body systems and how in-depth do we need to know them?

Anyone know why there was a two-fold increase in 1’s from 2007 to 2008?

I remember hearing something about a change in scoring so that people on the borderline of say a 3/4 would probably get a 3. I’m not sure though, I read that somewhere on CC.

Chill out over the weekend on don’t study too much. A quick review/glance at the topics should be enough. A 76/100 isn’t bad at all…my raw score was 66 and that was one of the higher scores in my class. There are going to be 100 MC questions.

Btw, is there any way other people can obtain the 90, 91, 94, 99, and 02 exams? I believe there were 120 MC questions before some change was made.

I have 90, 94, 99, and 02.

can someone please send me a 2002 test? gsangha1992■■■■■■■■■■■■

if it makesany of you feel better, i havent even cracked open my book yet. i’m praying that my insanely difficult bio tsts throughout the year will pay off

Would 30 raw points and 20 points on the essay get a 3.

BTW no it’s not my score, I just want to see what I can gurantee if all goes wrong on the exam.

Any ideas on possible FRQs for this year?
