so i'm signed up for ap chem for next year, but i'm not exactly a fan of chem in general. mostly because of my teacher (who is also the ap teacher) who is a TERRIBLE teacher. recently some of my senior friends have been trying to convince me to take ap bio instead. i don't know which would be the smarter choice, because while i am good at chem (even though i dont have a fantastic grade but thats besides the point) ap chem is said to be the most difficult class in out school.

which is worth taking? i'm a prospective physics major, so thats why i figured chem would be a good idea to take since they're more similar than bio and physics, but my second two choices for a major are biomedical engineering or biochem. i didn't take honors bio though, i took normal college prep but had the highest grade in any of the classes. taking honors chem this year though. would i get slain by ap bio because of my not having taken honors? and is ap chem worth sticking with because of my three prospective majors, or does it really even matter?

you can take either without any previous experience and you’ll be fine. do both.

you can take bio without having honors.

Chem- analyze

Bio- memorize-> i found this more interesting

really? how is it? it will be for my senior year and i dont want to completely destroy my social life, and taking both is out of the question because i plan to play varsity basketball in the winter and my high school is relatively competitive and i also want to enjoy my senior year a bit too. im not the normal CC super-overachiever, although i could have been if my parents had pushed me in middle school. i know our ap chem course is lab-centric, and they do 7+ labs a week with reports, while bio is just a wicked heavy amount of outlining. if i were to take one though, which would be a better idea to take?

Well when I said doing, I meant doing it next year. Im doing
AP Bio
AP Chem
AP USH
IB English 11
IB Spanish 4
Pre-calc
Anatomy
I hope it’s not going to be that bad although I would understand if I don’t make it coz of my rigorous schedule

wow i have to say that sounds hard… my ex-gf is doing ap bio and apush this year and she hates it, so be prepared hahah. its enough memorizing and outlining to make your brain explode
i would do both, but i am taking ap calc and honors physics (which is considered by some to be harder than ap chem in my school) and ap euro, so i feel as if i would only have it in me to take one

Well Im going to be a junior next year xD I was saving physics for last

heheh yeah, physics is what im most excited for. as a junior you might not have quite as bad a time with both bio and chem as i would as a senior cuz of college apps and stuff… should be fun though… and by fun i mean death

death isnt fun but if I can pull everything off that feeling will be euphoric
