AP Bio or Chem?!

is AP Bio or Chem an easier test?
which one would be most helpful to take for a premed?

I had the same dilemma. I chose AP Chem, because at my school, it is a double class - takes up two periods all year. I felt this would help me to better prepare for the test. I think for a premed, AP Bio might be better.

yeah, my high school does the double-block thing too for all science AP’s…
thanks for the advice - i’m signed up for ap bio junior year

Along the terms of easiness, I would have to say that the bio test was much easier, because it was more about memorization than applying different thinking skills like the chemistry one did.

They’re both great classes, though! You made a good choice.

Took both, difficulty definitely is based on how well the subject matter is taught by your teacher

@ my school APB is wayyyy harder then APC. but i heard the teacher for APB sucks/is harder.

I would suggest you take both if you can. If you absolutely can not, bio really is more helpful. Although chemistry will be very helpful as well because intro chem courses REALLY REALLY suck in college, since all the premed students will be in them, setting a harsh curve for grades. I believe someone else said this on the forum, but I have also heard this from my sister who used to be premed and switched to psychology.

i’m planning to take ap bio my junior year (i’ve heard its harder than chem at my school)
and take ap chem senior year to get both out of the way

Sounds like a good plan.
