I'm a rising senior and have taken bio honors freshman year, chem honors junior year, AP chem (5) and AP enviro (5) junior year and, for senior year, I can either do AP Bio or physics honors.

However, i haven't taken any physics courses yet. Which should i take? I'm mainly concerned because physics honors isn't the highest offered.

Thanks!

If your college major will be any science or engineering, or you will be taking pre-med or other pre-health-professions courses, you will need to take physics in college. High school physics may be listed as a prerequisite for physics in college.

Highly selective colleges often prefer to see high school courses in all three of the main sciences (biology, chemistry, physics).

i’m going into finance. so which do you think?

I agree with the previous poster - all three sciences should have been taken by time of graduation. Besides isn’t there a requirement in your HS that you take some physics class before graduation? Ideally Physics Hons should have been taken during junior year so you can take some AP level classes in senior year. If taking physics is not mandatory, and your colleges don’t have a physics requirement for admission, go for AP Biol and may be add another AP level course that gives you college credits (like Statistics).

my high school is a complete joke and doesnt require any physics at all. so i should take the honors physics then over the AP? my schools recommend it but don’t require it
