AP Bio People Names?

For the Ap Bio test, do we need to know the names of famous people (and what they did)?
Thanks

Bump. I was also wondering about this.

What does bump mean? lol. Ive been seeing it, but i have no idea what it means. Umm… i dont think so. I guess Gregor Mendel (and his peas), Watson and Crick with the double helix (who stole it from Rosalind Franklin), Hardy-Weinburg with his random equation. but i dont think it would really matter.

yea, I don’t think names are that important…just know Mendel’s peas, heredity, Watson and Crick DNA double helix genetics, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, Darwin’s theory of evolution- by natural selection, random mating, mutations, etc.

okay. thanks
do you guys happen to know if we need to know the details of glycolysis and other processes. I mean the exact steps and enzymes used.

not the exact enzymes, but you should be able to describe each step and how it works, etc. use cliffs notes

I personally think that learning specific enzymes would be a waste of time. Just know what type and what quantity of energy aerobic respiration produces.

idk… i found this

[Glycolysis Animation](http://www.1lec.com/Biochemistry/How%20Glycolysis%20Work/index.html)

Mendel=mendellian genetics
messelson and stahl-semi-conservative/conservative thingamabob
hershey & chase- hershey chase exp with phages and radioactive sulphur vs. phosphorus to determine DNA was mat of inheritance
Wallace- guy that made Darwin sick cuz he pubbed first
Darwin-theory of evolution
Michaelis-Mentis Kinetics - uh evolution stuff
Melvin Calvin- Dark Rxns of Photosynth (aka calvin cycle)
um… dang forgot most i knew a lot more for tests and other useless nonsense like APs <3
