AP BIO w/o taking the course?

does anyone think that taking the test without taking the class is a good idea?

i took "honor" biology ninth grade year and now im a sophomore...

im studying for the SAT 2 bio and am scoring around 680-720.

tthanks in advance

i would study some more for the AP test.

I got a 4 on AP (self-study) and 750 SAT II.

AP Bio is a huuuuuge amount of work.

i would recommend either taking the course or ramping up the studying a lot. The AP Bio tests was one of the hardest I've taken, even with the class (and I've taken four without taking classes).

I want to do the same, do you think I do well if I used Cliffs AP Bio, Kaplan SAT II bio and a campbell's textbook?

^^Sure, if you actually have the time to read through all of it. Preferably twice. You could probably just use Campbell and Princeton Review if you read Campbell very thoroughly, PR's not as good as Cliffs but one heck of a lot shorter.

Just read the entire Campbell textbook (~1000pages) and you should be good, I thought the AP Bio test was extremely easy (got a 5) but I had an awesome teacher.

ya, i took ap bio test without course, and got 4 :)
just study yourself and you're good to go
