which labs are a MUST for the online virtual phschool, since I did like half of them only and think I should focus on other stuff like body systems now

are labs 4, 5, 6, 9 good to skip since they were asked recently?

I'm feeling good, the level for 5 is so low, no problem :D

I was just wondering if we should review eyes and smell and the senses because they were in the campbell book but i don't see it in cliffs. Does anyone know if they show up on the test?

you know, the AP Biology test should be renamed the "AP Botany" test. it's ridiculous the amount of place plants get on the test as well as useless taxonomy. like really, could we focus on something more interesting? I came to this conclusion yesterday as I zoomed through the cell, genetics, systems and the like and then came to plants where it took me an hour to get through half a page as I desperately looked around for distractions.

So, I didn't study today. And I'm not planning on it. Because studying Botany is a waste of my life. I had a lot more fun planning my Mother's Day extravaganza for me mum. :) I hope your Moms had a good Mother's Day.

I can just see collegeboard putting 6 on two yrs in a row just so they can go "bwahah we fooled them".....haha

Actually I would love that - 6 = my fave.

I know. And what I hate even more about the AP Biology Exam is that the essay questions are entirely based on luck. I specialize in Ecology, Animal Structure and Function, Taxonomy, and Plants. I absolutely hate Genetics and Biochemistry. Now, the essay questions might focus on things I don't know or they might focus on my strong areas. I just hope I get some essay questions in my strong areas. [=

WHAT they CANNOT ASK 6 LOL I DONT GET PLASMIDS STILL, stupid teacher made it confusing with her nonsense explanation

^^ @ballin: I'm the exact opposite. Wanna work together? haha

A plasmid's just a piece of circular, extrachromosal DNA, mostly in bacteria, that researchers use as a vector to put genes they want into cells..

I work in a mobio lab :)

ya im freaking out. i shoulda started studying earlier but im cramming like crazy right now. and how are you guys studying for the labs?

yay i don't have to take this test till may 23rd!!!

good luck to you all though.

i'm freaking out for ap music theoryyy

is the curve for sure? that means u can get 50/100 mc right, 20/40 frq points..and still get a 3.

PANIC OH GOD, I know nothing about plants or anything. WAHH. Or labs. Or anything.

does anyone know what we need to know for the labs?? just the observations or what?
argh. thsoe are the only things i need to get down because our teacher just crammed those in last week.

flamingspirits, according to GPA's curve getting half right on the essays and MCs would be a 4. GPA, are you sure the curve's this way?

Do we need to know chi-square? I don't get it!!

Also, I propose that someone begin one of those question/answer prep things just to releive stress. But I haven't a question right now.

according to my princeton review book, 4 is 63-81 (of course it varies every year) and getting 50% mc (assuming u left other 50% blank) and 50% frq would be 67.5 (get this by multiplying mc by .75 and essays by 1.5) so ya it would be 4

Haha, I'm the exact opposite of Ballin, too.

We never learned ANY body systems in my class, so I have to learn all of them... right now. Oh, and human growth/reproduction. GREAT.

Really? Plants are that commonly found in the AP Biology Exam? That's just great -__- I think photosynthesis is one of my worst sections.

Also, does anyone know if we have to memorize ridiculously hard to memorize stuff like the Krebs cycle, or the Calvin cycle?
