im taking ap bio next year but have never taken regular bio. do u think it will be hard or there will be information ive missed.

I never took Bio. I had a tutor teach me AP Bio. Learned the course in 2 months and scored 5’s on practice tests, and I only see him ~3 hours a week. It’s not difficult if you’re willing to study and practice.

I took Bio as a freshman and I didn’t remember crap from it this year in AP (junior year). So don’t sweat it. You took chem first though right?

time to hone your memorization abilities

god I detested bio for too much memorization, now I am forced to take it in senior year

I took Bio as a fresh like nwgolfer321, and just like him I didn’t remember a sing thing ( besides Punnette squares). Honestly, if you’re taking this class next year you’ll be find even if you never took it before. Just read the chapters more than once every weak, memorization is key in this class, I think. Lots of topics correlate with each other.

Bio’s just mostly memorization. The only thing that’s difficult is it might take a little longer to remember everything. If you’ve taken basic bio then you can pick things up a little quicker instead of starting from scratch.

^ Agreed. Biology is all about the Minutia, hence the memorization.
