@silverhawk5 dudee chill out scores come out real soon you can’t change anything now
What exactly is a proxy?
I think it’s a server that hides your IP address so you can’t be tracked @cavern101
Sorry I’m just really nervous that I didn’t make the cutoff
@silverhawk5 , why are you so nervous. It’s just a test. And most schools give credit for anything over a 4 so it doesn’t really matter if you get a 4 or 5.
@silverhawk5 I think you got a five. Jesus Christ I was not nearly as descriptive as you in my FRQs (" Rods in the periphery of the retina", “Light must be able to reach stem cells (permeate) to trigger auxin production and tip cells must be able to trigger auxin production in stem cells (auxin signaling must be able to reach the stem)” WTF haha idk what most of this stuff is!!) and I got a five. Plus, you said you got straight A’s in a class taught by a difficult teacher with a hard on for the old curriculum ( I can tell by your test-day recollection of these various things!). You got a 5, don’t stress. What are your college aspirations? You sound like an achiever. Rising senior? Junior?
OMG…Why do I have to live in TX…At least I don’t live out of the country. Those students who are wondering about their grade must be on a panic attack right now…
@vmiller7723 You beat me to the 1000th post
I’m a rising junior in my school who loves to shoot for the moon in just about everything lol (wants to be valedictorian- #5/576 as of last year) Brown, duke, MIT, and uChicago are my dream schools-I want a five because my teacher was and still is a personal hater haha. He says I can’t get in to the schools I want that I wouldn’t get an A in his class and a 5 on the exam either. Even though I had a 97.5 one time, I still was on my toes in his class and so when I had missing work I addressed it but he still took like two weeks.
Therefore, a five on bio not only impresses colleges (only 1 kid, the Val did it last year) but is a sign that I proved him wrong. If it helps, I took psych and had a great teacher and my love of her class definitely helped in the bio psych style FRQs (1,7). In her class, I was challenged but not discouraged, and bio was challenging but the teacher discouraging. I guess you could say I’m a pedantic perfectionist, and it both helps and hinders me.
Does anyone know what would have to be done on the FRQ to get a 1? Like how bad would you need to do to get a 1?
@hopingfor5 I would assume something along the lines of barely completing any questions. AP released that the % of 1s is 8.3% while for 2s it’s almost 30% this year, so they’ve probably made it pretty difficult to get a 1. My teacher gave us a sheet during the school year that matched scores to percentage correct, but I don’t have that with me right now unfortunately.
Speaking of, I remember seeing a poor guy in my testing room who looked like he spent half of the MC time doodling on his MC packet, and then handed his FRQs in after like 15 minutes. His brain was probably fried…
@silverhawk5 Good for you! You’ll get there. And I know that not feeling stressed about college admissions is tough, especially in this day and age. The truth is, you’re a rising junior. Your job is to challenge yourself in school, that is true, but also to have fun and enjoy high school. You’re an upperclassman now! Bask in it! You’ll be fine and get in wherever you want to. Take it from someone who has been there.
Scores released tomorrow. Good luck to the people living on the east coast. Good luck everyone
Getting my score in the morning! Nervous!
Does the proxy thing work to see your test earlier by browsing through a site that is located on the east coast?
Is it worth it just for a few days’ wait? Is it risky because you have to login and the proxy site could keylog your username and password?
guys on the east coast, scores are out, at least for MA i think
4!! Couldn’t be happier, considering I thought I bombed the free response!
Woo, got a 4! A 5 would’ve been nice, but hey, I’m graduated, I’m in college, and I got as much credit with a 4 as I would have with a 5 so I’m happy
I got a 4. I cared the most about this class and getting college credit for BIO, but of course I get 5s in the other APs I took this year for which I care less.
Got a 4. Thank goodness, the percentage for a 4 was astronomical. Note: for people who don’t live in the selected states for today (a.k.a me), use itwtf . com to act as a proxy without all the hassle of a fake proxy.
Got a 4, really wanted a 5
