AP Biology 2016-2017 (Self-Study)

I’m going to be a senior next year and am self-studying AP Bio over the year. Is anyone self-studying next year? or Have you self-studied it recently? Any tips?

Seriously start studying in September. I recommend the 5 steps to a 5 book, and the Barrons Book. The 5 steps to a5 book is thinner, so use that more during the month leading up to the exam.

Question. If I remember the entire Barron’s Biology prep-book, what score would you think I would get?

which is the best Ap biology book?

It’s also really important to think conceptually. Barron’s has good materials, but their practice tests are weak, and don’t reflect the actual AP properly, in my opinion, as its questions focus more on small details rather than big scientific pictures. You should really try to use the College Board’s frq and analyze the questions and the scoring guidelines, because you’ll see that the questions become kind of easier.

I also strongly recommend that you watch the Bozeman Science AP Bio and regular Bio videos, because they’re incredibly insightful and useful.
