So, what is everyone thinking will be the FRQ's for AP Biology this year?

I am seriously feeling something huge on proteins.

Probably something with plants…structure, function, etc. They like to test that.

ecologyyyyyy

At least we know that, like always, one essay will be on the AP Labs.

So is the general consensus that there will be an FRQ on ecology, an FRQ on plants’ structure and function, an FRQ on proteins, and definitely one on one of the AP labs?

They are all guesses except for the lab one. The AP Biology FRQs aren’t extremely predictable (in my experience). If you know biology, you shouldn’t have a problem - study everything.

IMO bio frqs are pretty random

Things that could be asked (according to my teacher):
- macromolecules particularly proteins
- levels of DNA packaging
- respiration and photosynthesis
- nervous system
- trophic levels and biomagnification

^What is levels of DNA packaging?

^I think it refers to the process? transcription, translation

The whole chromatin thing, that DNA is associated with histones and form nucleosomes and so on

Thanks, penguin20! (: I’ll make sure to focus on studying all of those things.

Btw this are the things that I’m scared of (because I have a hard time plotting them into words):
Alternation of generations
Immune responses
Plants

Welcome! It’s sad though that these questions are so random. I’ve reviewed all the math formulas like the chi squared test , Rf , I’m just missing population growth.

^^YES

those are the hardest topics for me too

penguin: chi squared test? isn’t that ap STATISTICS? o.O

Yeah theres a lab where we had to do that, it was also asked in an FRQ back in 2003 so it might show up again, even in the mc

If you need help with the chi square, search in YouTube for a video of Mr Andersen AP biology chi square… It’s about 15 minutes or less maybe and it’s totally worth it, don’t worry though, I don’t think it will be important tomorrow, i reviewed it just to be safe … Actually, I haven’t seen that they ask anything about Q10 lately so
