I'm self-studying using Cliff's and PR's AP Biology and concerned about the lab portion. The two books have separate chapters on lab, but will those be sufficient for the exam? I heard from somebody that you should get an official(?) AP Biology lab manual from the College Board, but I don't know how to get it, and is that really necessary? Also, is it free or not?
Thanks.

Try the biology.com lab benches (http://www.phschool.com/science/biology_place/labbench/index.html)

They can help you grasp the fundamental principals.

thanks, but aren't the lab chapters on PR and Cliff's Biology not enough?

bump........................

anyone?????????

This isn't really on topic, but did you manage to find a school that you could take an exam at?

rockermcr: Yeah..:) Two of the remaining Vancouver private schools granted me permission. I chose the one nearer to where I live (40 minute distance). An AP Coordinator of the school told me to visit her school to sign up, and I did a few days ago. The school made me to pay $125 for each exam, though most Canadian schools require $120. I remember you saying that you're also looking for a school because the AP Coordinator you sent three messages and an email to didn't reply. Did you find one too, or did the previous AP Coordinator reply to you?

Cliff's is enough. Study those labs thoroughly since we didn't have a lab FR last year :-P.

snipez90: Isn't Cliff's outdated? The one I have is the most recent edition (2nd) but it was published in 2001 or something. Also, would the Cliff's by itself be really sufficient for someone self studying?
