AP Biology or AP Physics C? Dilemma

Hi next year when I am a senior I will have to chose between either AP Biology or AP Physics C. I am currently taking AP Chemistry. I know Physics is much more challenging than Biology and would probably look better, but I don't want to stress myself too much next year since I will already be taking 5 other AP's. Would it really be a big deal to colleges anyway? Thanks!

Both, and have the best all day standardized testing triple AP adventure day of your life!

LOLJK.

I actually think Biology was a lot harder than Physics C, even though I plan to major in biology and don’t consider myself a much of math person. I mean, I remember sophomore year staring as my 3 kg bio book at 1 am the night before a test, trying to figure out what the hell a G protein-coupled receptor was. I don’t even study for physics. Granted, I’m in it now, and we haven’t hit E&M yet, so maybe I’ll disagree with that next semester.

I’d say they look about the same. Just take whichever you are more interested in, or whichever has a better teacher.

AP Biology = more work, more studying. But you’ll have life science credits if your college accepts them, in some cases Chemistry counts for the same physical science credits that physics gives.

AP Physics = more fun :)

Don’t choose courses that will “look” good to colleges, choose the class that you are most interested in. Both courses are challenging and require different skills. In AP Biology there are some overlap with AP Chemistry. I’m taking both and the AP Biology and AP Chemistry and the overlap is working out pretty well. Some overlap includes Thermodynamics, Redox, pH, Acid-base reactions and solubility. These are the only overlaps I’ve noticed so far in AP Biology. I think AP Biology would be the best choice.

Here’s the thing, which subject is more akin to what you will major in? Pick that Physics if you want to be an engineer or physicist, Biology for anything else.

Thanks guys all your comments were very insightful and I appreciate it! Thanks Fantasy Vesperia and Darthpwner! =) clienk and tan line too! =D
