AP Biology over the summer?

I want to become a cardiologist in the shortest amount of time. And all the 6 year medical programs have a prerequisite of taking Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

I am in the IB program, and am HL’ing in Chemistry & Physics (that means I take them for 2 years)

However, I have chosen not to take Biology in Junior or Senior year because all the previous IB & AP students said the Biology teachers were horrible

I have taken Honors Biology in 9th grade

I want to take AP Biology over the summer of 2015, and take the AP Biology exam May 2016.

Is this a good idea? Has anyone done this before?

I personally don’t think its a good idea. AP Biology is not meant to be a 2-3 month course. Why not take it at your school next year?

There’s simply not enough time to do the labs and finish 55 chapters in 2 months. Also be aware that you will constantly need to be studying throughout the school year if you plan on taking the exam next year.
