Hey guys, I am a freshman who is planning on taking AP Bio next year as a sophomore. I am taking AP Chemistry this year and I am maintaining an A. Do you guys have any ideas on what prep books I should purchase to study for the AP Bio exam? I am using Princeton and Barron’s flashcards this year in AP Chem and they have been useful. But what prep books are really helpful with AP Bio? Any help is appreciated.
Hi,
I have been doing some research the last few days to find the best prep books. Apparently Princeton Review and Barron’s do not provide good prep for the updated form of the AP. There seems to be consensus that for content review, you should certainly get
** Preparing for the Biology AP Exam (School Edition)
{ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0133458148/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= }
*and you may or may not get CliffsNotes AP Biology 5th edition , the reviews say, this book is best for labs while the previous book I mentioned offers good preparation for the free-response questions
* For practice questions get this one:

Note that the AP Biology exam has been updated in 2013 I guess. so don’t buy old editions of any of those prep books. This is why Barron’s and Princeton Review are not that good as per blog.prepscholar.com
Thanks a lot for your help! Based on what you said, I will be getting the two books in the links you posted. I already have 5 steps to a 5 for AP Biology, so I think I will do well with these study materials.
