Hi, my ap biology class is doing a research project and my original idea was doing mice territoriality but me and my partner are unsure as to how we could record it and such. What I mean to that is this: What exactly about mice can we record in their behavior? I know I have some more research to do but we're a bit skeptical about it. If anybody knows or has done this project (manipulating mice lifestyle to influence its territoriality), please help me.

A follow-up to this is my alternative, which I haven't developed. Since me and my partner are unsure about our experiment, we'll be conducting an alternative research project, most likely on a disease or something...Any plausible ideas?

how the mice react to each other, eating/sleeping habits what they do in spare time, what video games they like, what music they listen to, what sports they play, their GPA in mouse school

you could do transformation with e coli, calcium chlorate(? i think thats it) and GFP cells.
so you take ecoli then put it in a warm solution of calcium chlorate. that perforates the cell wall and allows cell transformation to occur so it takes the GFP in. then you mix it with the GFP cells then put it in an ice bath and spread the mix on agar dish.

the results should lead to green glowing radioactive bacteria!
